Forum: etree Subject: Most derived files not linked from show page

For my most recent uploaded show

http://www.archive.org/details/jsb2006-05-29.oktava.shnf

it seems that the derived files were generated, but haven't been linked to from the show's page. In other words, when you take the URL for, say, one of the 64k MP3 tracks like

http://www.archive.org/download/jsb2006-05-29.oktava.shnf/jsb2006-05-29d1t02_64kb.mp3

and replace the "d1t02" with, say, "d3t05" to get

http://www.archive.org/download/jsb2006-05-29.oktava.shnf/jsb2006-05-29d3t05_64kb.mp3

you can play the track, but that URL isn't linked to from the page.

Any ideas as to how to fix this?

Thanks,
Brad

I see them fine Brad. When you upload, it displays the lossless files only for the first couple of hours while the lossies get created. Then, when the deriver finishes creating them the links will appear (anywhere from 2 to 12 hours depending on volume of work in the queue).

Thanks. I know about the lossless appearing right away but the derived files appearing (hours) later, but what confused me was that, after the deriver finished, the show page got updated with just _some_ of the derived files; the table of tracks had a box for each track/format combination, but for about 2/3 of the tracks, only the .shns were available. I refreshed a few times, but nothing changed. Several minutes after making my post, I checked again, and they were there. I'll remember that for future uploads.

Thanks,
Brad

A useful observation for the rest of us too--I probably would have panicked slightly in your shoes as well. So thanks for reporting on this. Now I know not to worry if it ever happens to me! :)

cheers

Whoops, cancel that, it looks OK now. I guess there was a slight delay in getting the page updated.
